Golden Milk, otherwise known as Tumeric Milk is a delicious way to increase your health and well-being, all while enjoying a comforting, relaxing, and delicious coffee or tea latte. Click Here for a report on the health benefits you will experience by adding more turmeric to your diet.
Here’s how I made it.
- 1 cup unsweetened organic almond milk
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp local honey
- Dash of black pepper
Simply put all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a low boil while whisking. You can drink this as is, though I would double the amount of milk or the spices may be too heavy. Or it can be added to your favorite coffee or tea. The ratio I found to be best is 4 ounces of golden milk to 16 ounces of coffee or tea.
Note: You can adjust the spices to be more to your liking, just make sure you use some black pepper. There are compounds in black pepper that assist the turmeric in releasing all of the benefits it provides.
